The Diocese of Pittsburgh has launched "Equip," its new platform for the ministry formation of teachers and catechists in partnership with the Catechetical Institute of Franciscan University of Steubenville. This format will replace the former program, serving as the new vehicle by which Diocesan-recognized catechetical certification is attained through a three tier process.

Tier 1 includes:

1. Complete Alpha / Discovering Christ / The Search. - This can be done in-person at any parish offering any of these three experiences. You can also stream The Search on Formed at The Search - FORMED.
2. Complete the Creed course. -This course is available through My Catholic Faith Delivered.
3. Complete seven workshops through Fransican at Home. - Franscian at Home offers a variety of recorded workshops with a save-and-return function so that you can work at your own pace. 

1. Complete the Sacraments course and the Life in Christ course. - Available through My Catholic Faith Delivered.
2. Complete seven workshops through Franciscan at Home.

1. Complete eleven workshops through Franciscan at Home.
