Do you have a loved one who has Alzheimer’s or dementia?
Whether you care for your loved one at home, either alone or with the help of aides, or your loved one is in an assisted or memory care facility, the stress of this disease can take a tremendous toll on families and caregivers physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Dementia and Alzheimer’s present challenges and symptoms that are uniquely difficult to care for and understand, and watching your loved one fade away is painful and sorrowful as you begin to grieve your loss.
Your family at Saint Luke the Evangelist want you to know you are not alone!
The Saint Luke Dementia Support Group provides a supportive and prayerful community for those whose loved ones are suffering from this disease.
Come and join our monthly meetings and be spiritually nourished, connect with others who share your experience, find helpful information and resources, and receive prayer, understanding, encouragement, and compassionate support. Meetings are held on the second Saturday of every month at 10:00 AM in the Multi-purpose Room at Saints John & Paul, next to the Grotto Chapel.
Our Dementia Support Group is also looking for volunteers with gifts and talents to share. If you are able to provide compassion, guidance, or prayer to these special members of our church family, please contact us.
