The Eucharist, or Holy Communion, is the source and summit of the Catholic faith because it is Jesus Himself. Through this Sacrament, we enter into the most intimate union with our Lord.
If you or someone you know is homebound or in need of a pastoral visit and Holy Communion, please notify the Parish Office at [email protected] or (724) 935-2104 or (724) 266-6565 so we can arrange for home visits or complete our Homebound Communion Call Request Form.
Eucharistic Adoration is dedicated time to spend with the Lord in prayer. Saint Luke the Evangelist offers Eucharistic Adoration at both Good Samaritan and Saints John & Paul churches. If you have never experienced the “quiet peace” and invigoration of prayer before Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist, we invite you to join us.
First Communion Preparation is done via Home Study typically in 2nd Grade. We provide resources and formation for families during the First Communion Parent Workshop. For more information on preparing for this Sacrament, visit our First Communion Preparation page.
If you have an older child who would like to receive First Communion, please contact Jason Gawaldo at [email protected] or (724) 935-2104 x228.
If you are an adult who is looking to be received into the Catholic Church and to receive First Eucharist, please contact Karen Walker at [email protected] or (724) 935-2104 x223 to learn more about our RCIA program.
