Healing Circle
Healing Circle is a prayer group for survivors of sexual and physical abuse. The gatherings include communal prayer, bible readings and fellowship.
No one walks alone but often it feels that way. Our mission is to help survivors find healing in Jesus Christ and create friendships with those who understand them. We know how indescribably difficult the journey through life is for those who have been abused. We know that having a safe place to gather with people we can trust is so important. We believe that having a relationship with Jesus, professional counseling and a support system of compassionate friends are the keys to better health.
Healing Circle IS: a safe place where survivors can gather to pray and find fellowship with other survivors. Prayer is the most powerful pathway to healing. For this reason, we will focus on prayer and prayer techniques to help us form a closer relationship with Jesus. We also believe that journeying with friends who are also survivors is vital to enriching our lives.
Healing Circle is NOT: lead by a trained psychologist so no counseling will be provided. It is not group therapy nor a healing program so we will not be having open group discussions. (There will be informational pamphlets available for professionally lead healing programs and retreats.)

Healing Circle’s efforts are encouraged by the bible passage in 2 Corinthians 1:3-7. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and God of all encouragement, who encourages us in our every affliction, so that we may be able to encourage those who are in any affliction with the encouragement with which we ourselves are encouraged by God. For as Christ’s sufferings overflow to us, so through Christ does our encouragement also overflow. If we are afflicted, it is for your encouragement and salvation; if we are encouraged, it is for your encouragement, which enables you to endure the same sufferings that we suffer. Our hope for you is firm, for we know that as you share in the sufferings, you also share in the encouragement."
